Extract

The extract powder is gently produced from pure Triphala powder using trituration at a ratio of 1:10. This means that 1 kg of extract corresponds to approximately 10 kg of Triphala powder.

Triphala

Triphala is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal formulation from India that has been used for centuries. The name literally means "three fruits" and describes its composition, which consists of equal parts (one third each) of the following plants:

• Amalaki (Amla) – Latin: Emblica officinalis, also known as “Indian gooseberry”
• Bibhitaki – Latin: Terminalia bellirica
• Haritaki – Latin: Terminalia chebula

Studies

A large proportion of scientific studies on Triphala have been conducted using extracts. Compared to conventional powder, extracts contain a higher concentration of active compounds per milligram.
