200 grams of the finest organic Triphala powder, laboratory-tested and EU organic certified (3 month supply).
Triphala is one of the best-known and most valuable Ayurvedic formulas, which is said to have significant Rasayana qualities. Rasayana in Ayurveda refers to traditional combinations of herbs and minerals that are suitable for harmonizing the inner balance of mind and body.
The word "tri" means three, while the word "phala" means fruit. It therefore refers to three fruits, which include Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Bibhitaki (Terminalia belerica) and Amalaki (Emblica officinalis).
The targeted combination of these three fruits creates an effective and proven remedy for a variety of ailments.
The three raw materials come from certified organic cultivation. They were gently dried after harvesting, then finely ground and tested, certified and blended in a ratio of 1:1:1 in accordance with strict EU organic guidelines.
Filling took place in an IFS, ISO and HACCP-certified EU facility.
The Indian medical science of "Ayurveda" is often referred to as the mother of all medicines because it has an extremely extensive body of medical knowledge that is thousands of years old and has been documented in writing, setting standards to this day.
The guiding principle in Ayurveda is: "Every person is different, each person has their own individual medicine", which is why only a few herbal or medicinal mixtures are suitable for all people. Triphala is an explicit exception here, as its special composition has a balancing effect on all three doshas (vital energies) in humans.
"Dosha" is a Sanskrit term that means "that which can cause problems".
In Ayurveda, each person has an individual composition of the three doshas (vital energies).
The individual combination of these three doshas determines their constitution and personality.
The three doshas are made up of vata (ether), pitta (water) and kapha (fire/earth).
They shape physical appearance, behavior and susceptibility to illness. An important goal in Ayurveda is to keep the three doshas in a healthy balance.
Triphala has the ability to have a balancing effect on all the main seats of the three doshas, the large intestine (vata), the upper small intestine and stomach (pitta) and the upper stomach and chest (kapha).
In addition, Triphala is also described in Ayurvedic literature as the "fountain of youth", as it combines the power of those three fruits that have long been known to have cell-protecting and therefore anti-ageing properties.
A brief overview of the three fruits in the Triphala blend:
Haritaki (Terminalia Chebula) is probably the most important of the three fruits. In Ayurveda, it is considered the “queen of all medicinal plants” because of its manifold holistic effects on the general well-being.
Monks also refer to it as the “nectar that enlightens the mind” due to its calming effect on the mind and stimulating effect on the spirit. Haritaki is therefore often taken during meditation rituals.
Haritaki contains various plant substances such as terpenes, polyphenols, anthocyanins and flavonoids. It is rich in antioxidants, magnesium, iron and vitamin C.
Bibhitaki refers to the Belerian myrobalan (Bibhitaka). It is a large deciduous tree from the Combretaceae family, which is native to the whole of India and can reach a height of up to 30 meters. Literally translated, Bibhitaka means “that which keeps you away from disease”.
According to Ayurveda, Bibhitaki correlates at the level of the harmonious balance of the doshas by balancing the six flavors. It provides a tart flavor.
The beautiful, medium-sized deciduous tree Amla (Sanskrit: Amalaki) enchants with its smooth trunk and feathery leaves. It belongs to the spurge family and is affectionately known in India as “Amalaki” or “Indian gooseberry”. In botany, it is known as “Phyllanthus emblica”.
The tree, which is native to the tropical and subtropical parts of India, bears beautiful, pale yellow, spherical fruits, which are considered an important staple food in Ayurvedic teachings.
In principle, 1 teaspoon of powder should be taken per day. Ideally, this should be dissolved in warm water and sweetened with honey as a tea, but Triphala powder is also ideal for mixing into smoothies or fruit juices.
